These 4 bucks were all together. Seem to like the Durana Clover and Chicory.

Would opening the Bonne Carrie Spillway be be a realistic way to help flush contiminated water out of lake pontchartrain? I know the Spillway is usually opened to only reduce water levels on the Mississippi River during flood conditions. The only problem that I see with this idea is the low water conditions on the river. What do you think?

I routinely don't plant until October so I think you will be fine. As long as you get some rain once you get your seeds in the ground you should have plenty of growth before gun season starts.

Thanks LETUMGROW. I have 2 bucks on the hit list but getting them into bow range has been a challenge. Last year I had several encounters but couldn’t get them closer than 50?yards.

I Planted Durana & Patriot clover along with chicory & buck forage oats for the first time last October in all 8 of my plots. Deer have hammered it ever since. The clover crowded out the weeds so no summer bush hogging. Since i’m In Claiborne Co and having to deal with the no feed ban the clover has been a great source of protein.
Hopefully they will all continue to grow like this one has.
