Just check the Colorado web site draw results. Must be living right. I got pick for the 1st rifle Elk season. This is the first time I have ever put in for a tag. Will be my first time Elk hunting. My brother-in-law from Utah and his best friend also put in for the tags. His bubby got a tag but he did not. I guess he will just have to be my guide. Is anyone else from Louisiana making the trip this year? Also if anyone has any info to share with a first timer. Please email me.
Went out to the Refuge this afternoon. We kept 14 bass. No bad for a short trip after all the cold weather. Boy but it was sad to see all the trash floating in the canal. Saw shinner bags and beer cans. You are not even allowed to have beer on refuge. How hard would it be to bring the trash back to the landing with you? Come on people lets keep it clean.
Would anyone know of a website to find a deer lease? We have 12 guys looking for around 1000 acres. Would like something with mostly or at least some hardwood. We will take pretty much any place in Louisiana. Thanks
Anyone in here do the 'do-it-yourself' Elk hunt. I would love to make an elk hunt. I've been to Utah mule deer hunting before. It was a blast. Would like to try elk hunting on public land in colorado. If anyone would like to share some info or have room for one more person on their trip. Please email me. Would be willing to share some great duck hunting in southwest Louisiana.
I read a story this Sunday in the American Press. It stated that the LDWF is going to letting the outdoor press reporters, developmentally disabled persons, charitable organizations, youth groups and schools hunt and fish without license. I hope I just read it wrong.
They make a product called Alui-Brite. It cleans anything off your boat but to have to wax it afterwards. It takes the wax off your boat.
I got the wife to come frogging with me last night. We could only go for a couple of hours. She enjoyed it & she wants to go back again. She even caught a couple with her hands. We end up with 47 for 2 hours. Boy the water is low in the canals. Hope to try again one day next.
go to wal mart
If you have a boat with more then 25HP. You can fish the streeters area. The Duck pond, one mile canal and the canals going to the pool spillway. Fish there last week and got limits every day with the biggest going 5.5 pounds. Did see a few over 7. Went today but the wind was a killer. You could see the bass chasing shiners. Just hard to fish and 15 mph wind. good luck all.
The Florence canals runs from Gueydan to the White Lake property the state got from BP. It does not go into White Lake.
I work out at the close rigs for ExxonMobil. When I get home. I'll email them to you if you want?
go to walmart
Well not sure about everyone else. But when the weather was warm we kill lots of ducks. We kill 268 ducks and 22 specks this year. I hunt public land. Every time we got a cold front the hunting would go to crap. This past week we were killing lots of mallards. Then sunday with the cold front we only killed 3 specks and one teal. This happened all year. We hunted 3 days before the cold weather for Christmas and killed 59 ducks. Then we hunted the 3 days after the front for only 9 ducks. As soon as it warmed up we went back to killing ducks again. Not sure what it was this year. Last year we did great on the mallards after the fronts came. Just when you think you have them figured out you don't. Hoping for another great season next year.
It's never fun to scratch while hunting. But sometimes it happens. I always tried my best each and everyday. But it happens. I have a pretty good guest at who they hunted with. would love to know. lol
Just take a ride to the lacassine Pool around dark and you will see plenty of mallards. No HUNTING there
The only way to get one is from someone. they are no longer made. I found someone that had and old one put up and he was nice enought to give it to me. good luck
Did you try Lowes or home depot? I know you can order them from Northern Feight.
