Need a suggestion for a new tree stand. I have a Summit Viper SS( I think that's the model). I need another that is lighter and easier to pack as I will be hunting public lands. Thinking about Millennium unless someone have a better suggestion?? Also need recommendations for climbing sticks Thanks

I am a aspiring bowhunter living in Lafayette. Looking for someone to share expenses with mainly gas, hunting within an hour of Lafayette.I work a 7&7 schedule and make a couple of hunts while Im in. It would be a big relief to share some gas expense.

Hello. I will probably be making a couple hunts there between the 5th and 16th. Maybe we can tag team it and share notes. I've hunted there a bit and it is tough hunting. Very dense palmettos witch makes it quite difficult but ther are a good number of hogs in there. Good luck

Thanks Lamplighter,

I've had this climber for quite some time now and here are the issues or the one biggest issue.
It seems like I have to find the 'ideal' tree to use this climber on. Either there are branches too big to cut going up(and of course not suppose to cut on trees on public areas) trees, or the base is so wide my climber wont fit or the tree is too crooked. It seems with the sticks and a hang on it opens up the possibilities of climbing trees I didn't have the option of hunting before and don't have to be as selective finding a tree.

I hunt public land. I'll go to Thiselwaite(check that), Sherbbure, and Spring Bayou. Last year I made trips back and forth from home but this year Im thinking about making a couple afternoon hunts, camp out a night and another hunt in morning. I just got motivated again last week at home and started shooin my bow in the back yard.
