You need to look at your budget. I have a Simmons Aetec with 3.8x12x44 scope with redfield mounts and rings with blue locktite to keep the screws from backing out.I have never had a problem . Leupold makes a fine scope. Good luck
If you are going to use it strickly for home use. I bought one from cabela's for under $100 for my parents and it grinds up to 4 pounds a minute. Works good.

I have a T/C black diamond and I have tried powerbelts for a 50cal. and I can't get the group either. I went back to Barnes 300gr. all brass hollow point and it groups GOOOOd.
