The weekend is here!! decent weather a good tide what more can you ask for! Yesterday a new friend and I had successfully completed another before work challenge! a two man limit of reds! the tide was high and falling hard the water was just high enough above the large grass beds an the fish where very active and tailing!! with the right bait and consistent casting we where able to make it happen!! Enjoy and good luck to all this weekend!! Stay Safe!!
Today was my 4th attempt at my own personal challenge of catch my limit of Redfish before having to be at work! like my other trips I watched the weather and tidal movement it was perfect!! arrived at the landing around 5:30 am! I jumped on the fish quick fish where busting mullets and shrimp, tails where being shown I knew it was gonna be on!!! well I started out with the good ol gold spoon but the fish seemed to be very started playing around and trying different lures I found today the BAYOU CHUB 'CAJUN PEPPER' with the ROCKPORT REATTLER lead head was on the menu the fish where going crazy! anyways hope you enjoy the video!
Redfish gone wild!! grassy ponds but redfish where everywhere it was time to bust out the good ol fashion GOLD SPOON a co worker of mine and I where able to successfully catch 10 redfish ranging 17 to 29 inches in the matter of a 1 hour and 30 minutes an was able to make it to work!!
I have created my own personal redfish challenge! when the weather and tide is perfect I challenge myself to film and catch my 5 fish before I have to be a work... I have done this twice both times I have caught 4 keeper reds and popped my last fish lol... enjoy!

So... what do you think? Is it the right weather for Ducks this weekend? Could this be the real second season opener? With my experiance in duck hunting I would naturally say this would be a very good weekend for a duck hunt, but the question is did fresh birds come down with the front? Well I recived 6 diffenet reports from guys in diffenet areas who managed to hunt the morning of the front and the morning after all 6 guys told me that the amount of bird seen was encouraging and they where to also able to kill several limits! So with that i just wanted to wanted to boost up my fellow hunters and encourage everyone to go out an kill some ducks!!be Safe and Enjoy!!
Dirty Water Hunting - Hunter
a Recap of the opening of the first season
with the ending of the first season, seeing large amounts of birds i had high hopes that the second season the ducks would be hot for the decoys! But, instead i was HOT to Hot for duck hunting that was for sure. Hunting Point Aux Chene saturday morning with the hope of decent amounts of bird in the area i was quickly sadden by the low amounts of ducks, Temp. of high 50's low 60's and the extreme amounts of people in the area (an everyone knows what happens when there if a large amount of people in the are)my hunting partner and i was only able to take 10 ducks (2 teal,7 dogree, and 1 grey) not and impressive way to start the season.... Sunday i decided to make a trip to Wax Lake in hopes to find a good number of quality birds. with high tide in the morning a little cooler air and high winds i thought for sure it was going to be a decent morning. within the first 2 hours of hunting we where able to take five ducks (3 Teal, drake Mallard, and a drake Wigeon)onces again high numbers of people in the area we struggled to get the birds in range or to even think about looking at the decoys the day quickly went down hill. From that point on we did not even fire a shot for the next 5 hrs. needless to say we need a be change on the weather soon!! everyone have a great rest of the season and good luck!!!

Every Season my family and i like to take a deer archery trip to the midwestern part of the country. This year we went to northern Missouri for a week filled with man opertunities at harvesting plenty of whitetail deer with our bows. its not always about knocking down the biggest buck or heaviest doe what we enjoy doing is making clean ethical bow kills and enjoy the opertunity to see so many animals.... enjoy!
