I have a question for the Mudboat guys and Mechanics. I am trying to find out who makes the muffler that people are using on the subaru motors. The ones I am talking about have 2 inlets and 1 outlet and they are round not oval. I have heard some people say they come off of tractors and others say that a pump supply place is getting them. I would rather one made out of stainless steel. A name and location to purchase one is what I am looking for or a manufacturer. Thanks for any help!!
I just got back from a week long trip to Ohio. It's the third time I have gone in two years and by far this time was the best. I originally went there for my honeymoon a year ago. You can only kill one buck a year there so I went again in January of this year but had no success. My buddy and I headed back this time with high hopes and dreams to kill one of the deer we had seen on previous trips. On Wed. I hooked up with this big boy that weighed in at 280 lbs. and had 10 points. Now this 10 point was nothing like the 158" buck that they killed on that plantatiion place but there were no fences where I was at so I guess I can show this one off with pride. What makes it even better was that my daughter and wife were there to help me track him once I came back in. I enjoy taking my family with me for these reasons. When it all comes together there is no one better to share the moment with. By the way this deer is by far my best bow kill yet. That wont make me stop though, it will make me be a little more selective.
Took my wife and daughter for the first time in the woods today. My wife made her first kill ever on an animal. It was a great meat hog from Land of Lakes Plantation. I was lucky enough to get a good fallow deer as well. My little girl loved every minute of it and was begging me to let her shoot. Wont be long before I am posting pictures of her.
Went to the Bayou Gauche area this morning and had a decent day. We went in the only clear water that we could find and had 7 nice bass all weighing around 1.5 to 3 pounds. Hope to get them again tomorrow.
I hunt in Ohio every year and I have killed some great deer there. I go to Woodbury Outfitters in Coshocton Ohio. It takes about 14 hours to drive there and I keep going back. This will be my 5th year going there. The website you can go to is ohiotrophybuck.com. They have some really good prices with lodging and meals included. There is also about 200 tree stands in place and ready for any wind condition. They hunt on 6000 acres and have a very high opportunity and success rate with about 75% of there customers being return clients.
Warren Freeman Jr. in Luling. He does great work but it might take a while to get it back. He lives in willowdale. E-mail me and I will tell you how to get in touch with him.
I just got the 3/4 hp. from Bass Pro for Christmas. It works great. Rating says somewhere around 260 lbs. per hour. I dont know about you but I cant process that much in an hour. Mine rips right through deer meat. Hope you are as happy with whatever you buy!
Try a 130 gr. Barnes triple shock or a winchester XP3 but the XP3 only comes in 150 gr. I think. The other one would be the accubond in 130 gr.
Where at in Paradis? I live there and I know they have some big deer down the Paradis canal and was just wondering if it was anywhere around there.
I killed that deer at 4:30 in the afternoon. Once we got him out of the woods and then back to the house it was about 8:00. I had him cleaned and caped by around 10:00 so I know it wasnt dead for too long. Your just not used to seeing deer that big in Ms. I will be making a Mexico hunt after we get back from our next hitch. See if your schedule allows you to come?
I saw a bunch of does on the lease in missouri but no bucks. I did see a bunch of rubs and scrapes though and put some cameras out to catch what's making them. By the way this deer was only 3 1/2. I wish we had those types of genes around here.
even with a slow boat you can be in the lake in no more than 10 minutes.
That bait shop is just under a new name but it still has the same things in it. It still sells live shiners and they open at 5:00 a.m.
I live in the area of that launch and those canals are only good for bream. If you run to the lake and fish the canals thqt feed in the lake you will have better luck there. I usually fish the Bayou Gauche and Des Allemands area and do really well all year long. If you want to go one day just contact me and I will let you follow me out there to show you a few spots. My e-mail is cmdupr@yahoo.com
No one has any idea???
