Today I lost a good friend and fellow fisherman. Good kind hearted would give u the shirt off ur back kinda guy. He will be missed by all. Now he's in heaven in the holy mackerel catching trout like he was in Delacroix. Rest in peace my friend and one day we will be together again slinging trout once again in ur and my boat! A little video we did a couple years ago with Andy Crawford

October 09, 2014 at 10:02pm

Had repeat customer Todd Bruno and a few of his friends aboard and we took out time in the fog. Made our first stop and landed 10 trout real quick. We had to stick and move to stay on fish. Remember if u powerpole down and think ur on the fish think again. Bite doesn't last long. Moved over to a bay and got on some good keeper trout on a shoreline. Only problem was there was bull reds in the mix. They went up to 41 inches as that was the biggest that we landed Friday. All in all it was a great day with a great group of guys and look foward to our next trip in May. All fish were caught with the slammin Sammy Dudley under a popping cork. Ended the day with 40 trout 6 reds and landed and released 12 bulls

Been a while since I've posted because of a couple on this site but decided to post this one report. Fish are scattered in Delacroix but as long as u stick and move U will put a good box together. 84 trout 1 redfish me and my clients put together. Hit a couple trout powerpole down after 5 min and no bite continue to drift till the next bite. Matrix shad shrimp creole tight lined or under the legend popping cork did all the damage!

Late report but me meauxjeaux2 and his good friend big mike took off and started hitting all the marsh off the icw and found a lot of throw back trout mixed in with keeper trout. We had to work hard for the but it did result in 40 trout 4 redfish and a flat fish. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! Get u some!!!

Went down to cocodrie to help out with the cowboys and Cajun rodeo and it was having a few cold ones Thursday nite with all the capts. Woke up this morning to brisk 15mph winds. That didn't stop us as we went deep into the marsh in te lake Boudreaux area. Got to our first spot and it was on. We caught 14 of our 15 redfish in one little area before getting chased in by a big squal line from the storm. Waited it out at the launch then went back to get our number 15 in the box. We must have caught 30-40 redfish today but we threw back a bunch of 17-20 inch fish to try and get 3 good slot redfish. All of our fish were caught on shrimp creole matrix shad and dead shrimp under a cork. Also in John ruckers post u seen from the other day we put a hurting on them as well. Trout bite is getting stronger and stronger with each day so just give me a call if u want in on the action around the lake ponchatrain lake borne areas! Capt. Scott Walker

Me and capt Travis miller took of for a little night fishing and wasn't disappointed at all! Fish on every cast. Had a lot of throwbacks mixed in but for 3 1 hours of fishing surely cant complain. Final tally was 24 trout and 1 redfish. All fish were caught on the new vortex shad! If u want in on this action just give me a call!

A little family fun as my mom and my sister jumped aboard the pathfinder today. We made our way to the hunny hole early and the bite I expected didn't happen. Plan b did work tho. Hit a shoreline in lake borne and started stacking the ice chest with redfish. It was fish on every cast till we had out limit which was made at 9am then played catch and release. Did manage 3 trout pushing 20 inches in the mix plus a couple bonus flounder to boot. Fall is right around the corner and the fish are on the move. If u want in on this action give me a shout.

Took off early yesterday morning with trout on the mind again. Knew it was gonna be a early bite so me and a couple friends got there before daylight and waited till the first crack of daylight. Well it happened as trout started flying into the pathfinder. The bite last not nearly as long as it did Monday but that was due to not having any tide. We made a few moves picking up a couple here and there then decided to go chase redfish. Went to a honey hole of mine with 20mph winds and wasn't disappointed. We landed 7 then decided to call it a day.

27 trout
9 redfish
4 black drum

If u want in on this action give me a call as the fishing is about to explode!

Me and a friend of mine took off early this am in search of them speckled beauties and at our first stop we started putting them in the boat. The bite didn't last to long as the tide was starting to change early so we went off and hit a few other areas where I know the trout should be and when we got to the last spot the trout were in a frenzy. We caught there till the sharks ran our trout off. Right before we left the bite started turning back on again but we had plenty enough to clean. We ended the day with 32 trout 2 redfish 1 black drum and 1 triple tail. If u want in on this action give me a call.

Been a while since my last report due to nonstop work at my full time job. But me and my son made a trip yesterday and was rewarded. Found the trout bite hit and heavy just a ton of small fish. Did some running around and found a few here and there. Then went on a hunt for the saltwater black crappie and hit pay dirt. We landed 4 of them. If u want in on this action gimme a call. Capt. Took the kids on a midday trip today and hit up a couple spots I've been wanting to try. We hit the first one and got on a decent bite then it died off. Went to my second spot and didnt move till I said no more fish lol. My kids had a blast as tey had them flying in the pathfinder. Ended the day with 44 trout 1 redfish and one sheepshead. Left the fish biting. If u want in on this action gimme a call.

Well the bite wasn't on fire today but we did catch alot. More throwback today than yesterday but ill tell ya my customers were very happy! Tey said that was the most trout they have ever caught in one trip. We ended the day with 28 trout and 3 doormats. Glad to see the flounder showing up as we lost at least 2 more flounder reeling them in. If u want in on this action gimme a call!

Today I had my real good friend Todd foster ( meauxjeaux ) and friend Jared which is the producer of sportsman tv. We got a early start and got to at the first spot to only find a slow bite boating 2 trout. With the water finally cleaning up we made 2 more moves and the last move we hit jackpot. We boated 45 trout in just a short period of time. All of our fish was caught on live shrimp but when they get turned on u can swap over to plastic. We also used the tiger bait matrix shad as well. To get in on this action just gimme a call 9852223509

I will say this. If ppl always listen to the weatherman u will never get out on the water. Me and my dad took off this morning and made it to the spot. Falling tide made it tough to start. Made 2 more moves and the second move was the right move. We had fish flying over the bow. My dad lost one at the boat looked to be at least over 4lbs. We ended the morning at 1030 with 31 trout and 3 drum. Also didnt get to the spot till 715 this morning. Fish were caught on live shrimp and my go to plastic the shrimp creole matrix shad. Chas makes a great bait! If u want in on this action gimme a shout! 9852223509

Fishing was great today out in the lake. Had a group from Indiana aboard today and trout were on the menu. At the start the kids were out fishing the dads. But once the bite really got started fish were flying all over the place. Our final tally was 51 trout 7 drum 3 redfish and 1 sheepshead. All our fish were caught on live shrimp and matrix shad Carolina rigged. Once the bite got hot I took te live shrimp off and put te matrix on and worked just as good. Special thanks to living a dream guide service for setting this trip up. If u want in on some of this hot action I'm only one phone call or email away. Next week ill be starting on my website so just stay tuned!

April 13, 2013 at 4:02pm

Giving everyone an update for capt jack. The shrimp in his bait tanks are some good looking shrimp. Had alot of boats out today with limits comming back in caught on both live shrimp and matrix shad. The launch is still not ready but won't be long and by the looks of it will be 10 times better than before. I had a trip today out of Sweetwater and my client wanted to fight redfish. They were tough to come by but we found a couple areas holding a bunch. My client Adam Parker from Portland only wanted to keep a few and release the rest but what he didnt know is the wide variety of fish we have here in Delacroix. The only fish we didn't catch was a sheepshead and a flounder. Bass blue catfish trout redfish and black drum boarded my boat today. If ur looking for a charter give either me or capt jack a call and we will get u set right up to get on some great action on the water

April 06, 2013 at 8:28pm

Saturday the bite started off slow but as the air temps warmed up so did the bite. My crew ended up with 32 trout for the day. Wanna thank capt Eric Dumas for setting up the trip as his crew did a little better than we did. Today I decided to take my son out and was greeted with hungry trout. Lets just say him and the trout fought and the trout didnt win but ill tell yea he is really wore out lol. We ended the day with 44 trout. All my fish both days were caught on the shrimp creole and ultra voliet matrix shad but the tails were dipped in chartreuse. Water temps are heating up and so is the fishing. So if ur ready to go shoot me an email or give me a call to book. The time is now. I fish cocodrie Delacroix areas and lake ponchatrain in the fall and spring

I don't use any lead core line or n fancy stuff of that sort. I troll 3/8 ounce jig heads with my favorite bait or 3/4 ounce rattle traps with a Fluoro leader. Not that hard

I also have launched down there since he opened up and got a lot of chances to hang out with jack. Down to earth great guy u will Ever meet. All ppl have to do after the launch is just go ask jack to point u in the right direction and he will not steer u wrong. With me now bein a capt i so help him with charters but at the same time along with jack while waiting on clients help others as they go out on where to find some fish without sending them to my spots. That's just te friendly thing to do!

Thanks John and Mr. Mike for all ur kind words. When bein a guide ya have to pattern them fish. What's crazy is the pressure was as high as I've seen in a while and didn't expect to catch as many as we did. Gotta go to know for sure. I knew the fish were there but they bit way better than I expected. I'll tell ya these blue tiger highlife swimmers are the real deal on the big fish! As it gets warmer they want the green hornet matrix shad!
