Had the opportunity to take this group of golfing buddies on a Venice redfish experience!!! Catching over 20 bull reds broke the ice and partially wore these guys out. Had a group from Walker, La looking for some redfish action and they got just that. Headed straight for the younger fish along the edges of the shallow bays on the west side of the mighty Mississippi. Water was beautiful with that green and clear color. We then headed to some deeper canals and finished up with some bigger reds and solid fighting black drum. A successful experience to some great guys who cant wait to return! What a day we had dropping hogs!! Mr. Allen and his group came with their trigger fingers ready to let loose on some land destroyers. Even though we didn't put a dent in the hog population we were able to harvest 3 nice hogs and had a safe and exciting hunt. Bringing along two younger boys made an even more memorable hunt to be able to teach and share the outdoors with!! the vegetation is weak and leaving the pigs exposed which allows us to get right on top of them. Mr. Peter and his son still had an itch at the end of duck season to make a hunt. It was a nutria/hog hunt that they chose. We started out with the smaller .22 rifles executing some giant rats ranging from 5 to 25lbs. Idling down narrow canals we would spot the nutria either on the banks close to the waters edge or swimming along the banks. When they had their fill on the nutria we moved on to the hogs. As we were in route to the area where we expected to find the pigs we were able to jump 6 and harvest one. A great experience for a father and son to share!!!
