I hunt in holden springfield and independence and havent seen hide or horn anywhere. Barely seeing any tracks. anybody in the area having this same problem? if so any tips ?
So im going fishing on Bayou Teche in Parks LA by breau bridge. Whats biting down there? Cats? Bass? Sac a lait? if so. whats the best bait for down there right now, and what colors? thanks
Anyone been having any luck out there? My last two outings have resulted in a few catfish. I ran up and the ICWW and hit a few drains, and unknown pass, and the l&N train bridge with zero on our last trip two weeks ago. Any suggestions?
Well I haven't fished down there since right after Katrina (pre-MRGO dam), and had a blast. Didn't really know where to go, but wandered a round the marsh, and ended up with 4 keeper reds, caught on live shrimp 2ft under a popping cork, and also caught 2 sheepshead, one huge one. Caught those tightlining 12 inches off the bottom. Caught a few throw back specks. I'm sure if i would've wandered more to the open bays I could've made good hauls like the other seasoned guys were bringing in down there. Will def be back next weekend.
Any word on the water clarity in the Sound lately? Seeing if its worth making the drive down friday or saturday. Thanks in advance.
