Welcome to Sportsman's Paradise. I am located in Houma and fish out of the Cocodrie and Dularge areas. Houma is about 50 miles west of New Orleans.ÃÂ I offer inshore fishing for redfish, speckled trout, flounder, sheep head and black drum.ÃÂ Freshwater fishing for largemouth bass, sacalait(crappie to you yankee types.) bream, and catfish.ÃÂ We also have night-time bow fishing trips where we target redfish, black drum, sheep head and alligator gar.
My duck hunting and fishing combo trips are very popular. I call them a BLAST AND CAST.ÃÂ Spend a morning in the duck blind shooting at a wide variety of ducks from gadwall, widgeon, green winged, blue winged teal, pintail, and our native mottled ducks to divers such as redheads, canvasbacks and bluebills; followed with an afternoon of catching trophy redfish and speckled trout.
ÃÂ
All trips are all inclusive, fuel, tackle, rods and reels and bow fishing equipment included.Half day or full day trips. Please let me know if you have any special requests so I can make your trip world class. Louisiana fishing is always good, but I will do everything that I can to make it great!!
The ducks are showing up south of Houma, and the redfish are eating it up with the cool weather. Any cuts with the water falling into major bayous around lake Boudreaux. Catching limits on H&H Spinnerbaits with Tuxedo cocahoe tails. For duck hunts or redfishing trips give me a call

This morning we had lots of ducks, mostly grays with a little mix of teal, spoonies, and widgeon. We shot 10 and worked flock after flock of stubborn grays. We had to blind up in the open due to the low water. Lots of fun just the same. The redfishing was on fire we limited out on the first stop, and released upward to 50 fish 3-10lbs. If someone is interested in making the trip to the Houma area just give me a call. $150 per man duck hunt/fish combo.

Had a group from Tennessee down this week and managed to put a hurtin on the redfish. We caught 57 on Wednesday and 60 on Thurs. They are loaded up in the canals in 3-4' of water. We caught them on black/chart. bayou chub minnows about 2' under a cork tipped with shrimp. The best 20 tipped the scales at 147LBs!!!!! man that is going to be some good redfish on the halfshell. Today made a trip with Butch Smith from Bossier City an managed 13 nice reds all on gold spoons in 1' of water. They have moved into the ponds as normal when the water rises. If you want to book a half day or full day trip give me a call.

Took my brother and our two 5 year old boys out on Monday to Bob's Bayou Black marina. We knew with the warm weather that the bass and sacalit would be biting. We started fishing for bass and the first two canals we went into were muddy and we didn't get a bite. I was throwing a 3/8 oz terminator spinnerbait and my brother was throwing a 1/4oz black/ blue jig. He caught 3 in 6 casts by one cut in the marsh, they would not touch the blade. On our next stop it was on fire, we made one pass and picked up 5 fish in the 2-4lb range. then on the next pass the fish went crazy, the sun must have got the water temp right. the canal was only 100 yards long and we would catch 5-6 fish each pass spinnerbait and jig with equal success. We caught and released 23 bass in the 2-4lb range.
My brother wnted to leave and try to find some sacalit so he convinced me to leave the bass alone. The first place we tried was all it took. We were throwing a black/chart. tube jug 1 1/2' under a cork. The males were right on the bank in 1' of water waiting on the females that were staging in 3' of water off the bank. We caught 37 nice fish in about 2 hours. For a freshwater or saltwater trip give me a call.

Had a wet day on the water Friday with Mr. Arthur Borchgrevink of American Home Renovations from New Orleans. He's the man for all your home renovations. 504-914-2867.
We left out of Bob's Bayou Black marina with cloudy skies and temps in the upper 60's. On our first stop the sacalait were biting every cast. We caught them on black/chart. tube jigs 8" under a cork. We put 15 in the boat and then the bite slowed down when the rain started. Mr. Arthur put on his rain suit, which usually causes the rain to stop as you all know. But no such luck it rained steady the rest of the day. We ran over to another canal and managed to catch several bass in the 2-4lb ranged. The largest coming on a black/brown jig with craw trailer. Mr. Arthur missed one he couldn't turn on a chatterbait. We ended the day with 20 sacaliat for a swim in lake crisco and 12 bass busting with eggs that were released. The other bass pics are of my trip Saturday out of Cannon's in my hunting boat to the duck ponds around orange grove. My son and I caught and released 43 bass on an all day bite. Mainly on spinnerbaits and the larger fish coming on 3/8 oz black brown jig/craw combo.
To book a fresh or saltwater trip with me call or email. Good luck fishing.

Had the pleasure of fishing with the Cashiola and Aucoin boys from Baton Rouge on Tuesday. The day started off slow but ended great. Had ice on the 24' Champion in the morning. Oh what did I get myself into promising the boys a boat load of reds. We fished from Jug Lake, Lost lake, and everywhere in between and had only 3 reds in the box. Around noon we went into lake Mechant and I knew right away we made a good stop. The water was clear and the mullet were schooled up on the oyster reefs. It didn't take to start hooking into them. Reds were running everywhere. We had multiple hook-ups on black/chart shad assasins on 1/4 oz leadheads. Ended the day with 20 redfish and 1 trout.
Good luck fishing!!!

Fished the Dreams Come True bass tournament out of Doiron's landing on Saturday with my brother Shawn. We managed 5th place out of 150 teams with a stringer of only 12.59lbs.
We ran to the marshes south of Houma to Orange Grove. The weather forecasted cloudy skies which we never saw, imagine that..We caught our fish on chart/white terminator spinnerbaits and green pumkin jig/craws on Power Pro line. Most of the fish had allready spawned out which hurt our weight. The top stringers came from down the Atchafalaya river. The Dreams Come True put on a great tournament and have announced the date for next year of March 7th. $10,000 first place and $1000 for lunker. They paid out 20 places and 3 lunker spots. Also great door prizes included an all expense paid trip to Mexico's Lake El Salto.
1st place-Willie CouchIII, Willie Couch II-16.61Lbs
