We started the day with 15 nice Reds and completed the day with a mixed bag of Flounders and Trout. The fish are still in shallow water go figure with the sub freezing weather. By the Grace of god we have been blessed in Southwest la. to not sustain the effects of the BP oilspill. We have been having good luck catching nice trout and reds. Were atill catching nice limits of reds in Big Lake. Trout slowed a little with the sub freezing temps at night but action will increase as temps rise in thwe middle of day. The trout you catch are nice ones. Go to a smaller bait this time of year work it slower and use a lite jig. Captain Norm
